Specifics in the positioning systems development for the space technology products

Positioning systems are widely used in a wide variety of machines, instruments and devices. The positioning system (displacement) is designed to move the product within the workspace along a single or more coordinates. The research purpose lies in developing a two-coordinate displacement system for the space technology products that have special requirements. The article is devoted to reviewing the positioning systems and development of their classifier, as well as to selecting a displacement actuator. Taking into account special requirements, a displacement system with the electromechanical actuator was selected. After reviewing and analyzing these mechanisms, a backlash-free planetary roller screw mechanism with a flexible nut deformable by the axial forces was chosen. Its further computation and research would be carried out within the frames of the final qualifying work preparation.
