The article considers the problem of pumping-over the fluids with high gas content using rotary vane, single-screw, two-screw, three-screw, axial-flow and other pumps. It describes different designs of the pumps capable of pumping-over the liquid-gas mixture without special preparation and auxiliary devices. We compare different designs of the multiphase rotary vane pumps depending on the characteristic of the pumped medium. The article analyzes the advantages of such pumps compared to rotary vane pumps and mentions the primary industries for their application, for instance, the extraction of mineral resources. We introduce a mathematical model of the rotary vane pump flow part, which is the basis for the numerical modeling of two-phase flows.
