The article considers new trends in the development of the railway industry, associated with an increasing train speed, which causes additional requirements for the quality of rail gauge production. The current situation involves the implementation of innovative technologies for the production of railway rails, the length of which reaches 100 m. It has been analyzed the previous technology to obtain rail products. The main purpose of the article is to consider the use of 100-meter rails, which will ensure noiseless and smoothness movement of electric trains, will simplify technology and increase safety. There were presented new ways of manufacturing railway cage of a new generation at the metallurgical manufactures of JSC ‘EVRAZ Consolidated West Siberian Metallurgical Plant’ (JSC ‘EVRAZ ZSMK’) and ‘Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant’ (JSC ‘Mechel’). The installation of new rolling mills favors the development of the manufacturing of a new type product.
