The paper is devoted to a method for reducing the effect of warping of parts subjected to cementation and hardening on the final dimensions of the parts is considered. The problem is relevant, because it constantly arises in real production. The effect of warping (deformation) on the dimensions of steel parts is investigated. Analysis of the measurement results allowed us to determine the numerical values of the reduction of the linear and diametrical dimensions of the parts. The importance of the study lies in the fact that with known qualitative characteristics of the problem, its numerical indicators, which are important for practical work, are not given in the literature and publications. When calculating technological dimensional chains at the stage of designing a technological process, it is proposed to increase the dimensions of parts before cementing by 0.05 ... 0.20% relative to the nominal technological size in order to reduce defects and improve the operational properties of parts.
