This article considers algorithms for assigning cutting parameters for universal equipment and computer numerically controlled equipment (CNC). The application of the linear programming method for universal equipment and CNC equipment is described. On the example of external longitudinal turning, the implementation of the algorithm by the linear programming method is considered. In order to educate specialists on the principles of assigning cutting parameters, two applications have been developed for assigning cutting parameters for longitudinal turning operations on CNC machines and drilling with twist drills using universal equipment in Object Pascal language in Lazarus 1.8.4.
