Features of surface phases formation during borating ferrous alloys

By X-ray diffractometry we carried out phase analysis of the near-surface layers of ferrous alloys after the thermochemical treatment. We examined the samples of different chemical composition after liquid electroless borating. This kind of processing makes it possible to change the phase composition of the near-surface layers, which affects the operating properties of the samples.
