The dangerous modes of joint operation of the internal combustion engine (ICE) and the transmission of a high-speed tracked vehicle have been determined. Using the mathematical model of the ICE-transmission system developed in the LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim software package, the values of the transmission natural frequencies were calculated, and for the selected engine, the range of dangerous frequencies corresponding to the fundamental harmonic frequencies was determined. Based on the data obtained, ray diagrams were built, according to which engine operating modes were set in each gear, long-term operation on which is not recommended due to the risk of resonance in the transmission, and transmission sections were identified that were more at risk of breakdown due to resonance.
