Abstract. The article is devoted to diagnostics of products made of polymeric materials currently used at enterprises for the repair of freight and passenger cars. The authors presented the main problems arising during visual non-destructive testing, and the proposed ways of solving them as the goal of the work. The processes of diagnosing polymer products by the high-frequency radiation method are considered, the main control parameters and the physical process of exposure are described using the example of control of the axle box separator. The diagnostic devices developed within the framework of the research are shown, the method of designing the technological equipment for the control process is described.
