The article presents numerical investigations of the change in the thickness of a thin-walled hemispherical part along the meridian during lead stamping. The study was carried out using the finite element method in the DEFORM-2D software package. In the course of modeling, design schemes were used with various geometric parameters of the lead block. The dependence of the dome part thickness on the size of the conical extrusion in lead is established and recommendations for stamping with a plastic medium are given. The expediency of using profiled lead as a deforming medium has been substantiated. The obtained research results are of practical importance from the point of view of increasing the strength characteristics of stamped parts.
