The basic principles of quantum computers functioning are studied. Problems caused by properties of quantum systems are analyzed. The fact is that extremely small elements are used as quantum bits (qubits). It has not yet been possible to determine a universal particle, which has an optimal size for the given problems. A general characteristic of quantum computers is given. The process of development testing, which is very difficult, is characterized. The priority application of quantum computer and different systems to determine the properties of new molecules and materials is analyzed. The complexity aspect in the creation of quantum computers and systems is shown. It is concluded that it is important to actualize the quantum computer and eliminate the problems associated with its development as soon as possible.
