Modern methods and tools in investigating objects of the documents technical and forensic examination

The paper considers modern methods and means of studying objects in the technical and forensic examination of documents. The current methods of conducting the document technical and forensic examination are analyzed: light microscopy, thin-layer chromatography, limitation method, chemical-spectral method and the method of research under vertical illumination. General characteristic of each method is provided. Modern software tools, computer programs are presented, and general provisions on the listed tools are formulated. The conclusion is made about the importance of modern methods and means in investigating objects within the technical and forensic examination of documents; besides, cybernetic method of mathematical simulation in the software tools is characterized. Prospects for development of this area are highlighted, and the vector of developing the technical and forensic examination of documents is determined.
