Application of software tools and automated systems in studying objects of various kinds/types at the forensic examination: prospects for their development

The paper examines software tools and automated systems, as well as their purpose and practical application, in studying the objects of various kinds/types at forensic examination on the example of portrait expertise and forensic computer technical expertise. Procedure and results of the computer technical expertise using the Mobile Forensicist software package are considered. Prospects for the development of applied software and automated systems for the forensics effective functioning and their problematic aspects that need to be corrected and improved are identified. The conclusion is made that a significant vector in the development of the forensics software tools system lies in introduction of artificial intelligence and scientific research in the robotics.
