The article is concerned with the interpretation of the notion “damage” and the analysis of the possible methods of redress for the caused damage consequences according to the civil legislation of the Russian Federation. We analyze the norms regulating the compensation for moral harm, redress in kind and compensation of losses and consider the possible classifications of the redress methods apart from the ones statutory in the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, Federal Act No. 51 of 30 November 1994 (ed. on March 28, 2017). On the basis of the research conducted the author suggests making alterations to the current civil legislation in the prospect of putting some clarity into the practical implementation of the mentioned norms regulating the methods of redress.
