The application of facial recognition technology in crime detection, investigation and prevention

The concept of human biometric parameters which are used to identify a person's identity is considered. In particular, the features of the use of certain parameters in the technology of recognition of persons actively used by law enforcement agencies for the detection, investigation and prevention of crime, in order to ensure safety at infrastructure facilities, as well as by others to ensure the reliability of civilian objects. It is concluded that the use of automated systems based on this technology is undoubtedly beneficial. It gives an example of Face-Intellect facial recognition system, the use of which can contribute to the successful counteraction of various offenses.
