With the development of the productive forces of society, the institutions that regulate emerging and evolving human activities are also changing. The achievements of the era of scientific and technological progress require the improvement of legislation. The emerging concept of a source of increased danger is one of the examples of law modernization in accordance with the development of engineering and technology. The article is devoted to the study of civil liability for damage caused by a source of increased danger. The author concludes that the term “source of increased danger” is contradictory due to the uniqueness of offences associated with it and the lack of unified theoretical and enforcement approaches to solving problems associated with bringing to legal responsibility.
