The relevance of the topic is due to the novelty and features of the institute of production of inquest in an abbreviated form. This specific form of preliminary investigation is a simplified procedure for the production of inquests, but it also creates a number of problems for the official making it. First of all, this is due to significant restrictions on the rights of the interrogator. That person who can most fully assess the feasibility of producing a shortened form of inquest is deprived of the right to decide on its beginning. In the process of proving, the interrogator also has the right to decide independently what actions he can omit, but in most cases it is either impractical to do so, as is the case with the drafting of an indictment, containing all the information that is established during the production of inquiries in a general manner, and therefore can not be ommited in the form in question, or it is impossible if the parties to the criminal proceedings insist on it. Therefore, the legal status of the interrogator when making an inquest in abbreviated form definitely deserves close attention.
