Reconnaissance work for the preparation of field tests of the astroinertial navigation system

This paper is devoted to the issues of reconnaissance of the area of astroinertial navigation system testing, preparation of the topogeodetic movement route of the mobile laboratory and registration of the results. The method is shown of error estimation in determining the geodetic coordinates of the built-in GLONASS/GPS-module of an industrial computer. The authors analyzed the area of the test site, checked the compliance of the selected site parameters with the requirements for the test site area, selected landmarks and carried out their topographic reference. The main results obtained during the reconnaissance are presented, proposals and recommendations for ensuring the conduct of field tests are prepared.
