Embedding a digital watermark in MP3 audio files to counter the spread of counterfeit products

The paper considers methods of hiding information in audio files, proposes an algorithm for embedding digital watermarks in MP3 files. The structure of the MP3 file and the structure of the frame are considered. A software package has been developed for embedding and extracting digital watermarks to MP3 files. This algorithm is highly resistant to attempts to detect hidden information. The article also provides ways to bypass the detection of the presence of hidden information are bypassed. The relevance of the article is to protect copyright in musical and cinematographic works, as well as to counteract the spread of counterfeit products.
