Integration of General and Supplementary Education by the example of the “University Saturdays” project

The article is devoted to the issues of professional orientation and navigation of schoolchildren in the conditions of integration of general and additional education within the framework of the “University Saturdays” project. This project is implemented by Moscow higher educational institutions for students and creates favorable conditions for interaction between teachers of different specialties, forming an integral picture of the world in teenagers and high school students, an integrated pedagogical influence on the personality of a schoolchild. Participation in the “University Saturdays” project on the basis of Bauman Moscow State Technical University gives Moscow schoolchildren an opportunity to broaden their horizons in the field of science and technology, helps to solve problems of invention and contributes to the education of a well-rounded personality. It is concluded that the project participants can use the resources of additional knowledge in science and technology to strengthen their motivation to master the school program, choose a profession, as well as gain experience and skills necessary for further study in higher education.
