The article is devoted to analyzing terminological system of one of the main areas of mathematical science, i.e. mathematical analysis. It considers main terms of this scientific area and models of the syntactic connections they are engaged in. Explanations are provided about predominance or absence of one or another type of connection, it is demonstrated what causes this phenomenon, and why it happens in the scientific language. Features of the phrases types and of the relationships between their members are studied. Syntax analysis of a number of the most frequently used terms was carried out. The most productive models in formation of the compound terms in the mathematical analysis general terminological system were identified.
