The paper considers methodology of the rapid testing development to integrate it in computers that are teaching English. The need to create such a rapid testing is explained by the complexity in implementing the extended tests in games, since users are often facing difficulties in passing such testing, which leads to a decrease in playability, i.e. degree of the player pleasure and satisfaction during such games. In order to improve the rapid testing accuracy, a special algorithm to select words for the tests was developed. An increase in accuracy is achieved as a result of the words’ selection for express testing based on the recognition rating of the words, which were determined in a certain control group of testees. The paper compares results of rapid testing using the words selected without and with recognition, and draws conclusions on the developed algorithm efficiency.
