Specifics and problems in teaching chemistry to the hard-hearing students exposed to inclusion

The paper considers technologies and methods of teaching chemistry to the hard-hearing students within the inclusive programs of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Objective of this study lies in increasing accessibility of chemistry classes for the hard-hearing students by optimizing implementation thereof. Preparing chemistry classes for the hard-hearing students includes taking into account their individual characteristics in perceiving information in the digital environment; creating developmental environment in the classroom; elaborating special educational materials for classes using cognitive technologies and taking into account the principles of universal educational design. It is shown that the process of teaching chemistry to the hard-hearing and deaf students in the specially created conditions develops their cognitive abilities and is not reducing their motivation to effectively master the university program in the discipline.
