The work is devoted to the study of the concept Weather in British English based on phraseological units. The main interpretations of the concept definition are given, the concepts of linguistic and phraseological pictures of the world are divorced, structural and semantic ways of presenting the concept are revealed. The main characteristics of weather phenomena in the British Isles and their impact on the activities of residents are noted. The features of the use and frequency of occurrence of the lexical units included in the Weather concept are discussed, as well as their reflection in the minds of the inhabitants of Great Britain. The results of the work can be used in the further study of the problem of describing the phraseological units of this concept as a component of the national picture of the world in other Germanic and Romance languages.
