The article develops a principle diagram intended for water supply of fire departments during extinguishing of peat fires in the territory of the Tver region. When preparing a diagram, a review of the subject area to determine the relevance of the development is performed. The paper gives statistics on peat fires in the region over the past 4 years, describes measures taken to reduce the number of fires. The technique of extinguishing peat fires and the selection of the necessary equipment for the developed diagram during the practical part are described. As a result, the principal diagram of water supply of fire departments was obtained and the urgency of this development (the case of the Tver region) is justified.
